Hello! I'm Dahni Witch of Light! I write a lot about Homestuck's SBURB, God Tier and Land Quest (aka “Classpect”) system, and I have tags for different things such as: Aspect, Class, Derse or Prospit, Class Active/Passive Spectrum, Inversion/Overembracing, Denizens, Land Quests and finally just SBURB, under which falls all of the above plus the other less important parts of SBURB like Cruxite Artifacts, Fraymotifs, Consorts, Strife Specibus, Soul Animals (Like Jade’s Hummingbirds) and other extra specific bits that aren’t major enough to warrant their own tags.
I also tag/link all specific God Tiers in the format of "Class of Aspect" so for example Witch of Light, as well as tagging specific aspects/classes as "Light Aspect" and "Witch Class" And I do this not just for the Witch of Light but for all Aspects and Classes and God Tiers, so if you wanna find all the things I’ve ever talked about in regards to a specific class, aspect or god tier, just search under their tag in my blog.
Finally, the final tag that I have is just a collection of every Guide I’ve ever written about various parts of SBURB, like, how to choose a Land/Denizen/God Tier/Consort etc etc anything at all that tries to help you find out what SBURB thing you would have is all under the tag called Guides for easy access.
Also I have both a Twitch Account and a Youtube Channel for making and then storing the vids I make when I talk for hours about Homestuck/clearing out my insane huge inbox in a timely manner.
And then finally some extra personal tidbits about me, is that other than Homestuck, I very much enjoy (and oftentimes analyze/theorize/post about) other things that I really like such as Kingdom Hearts, RWBY, Legend of Zelda, Pokemon, Undertale, Steven Universe, Tarot Cards, Name Meanings and Astrology
Apparently (according to my sister) my family tree is uniquely terrible at maintaining information and connections through generations because
1) I’m only the most recent kid in a long history of “this person cut off all their parents and walked off and never returned/never had contact with them again” and some of them even had the fun idea of “fuck it, im just gonna go up north and fuck off into the woods never to return, might get pregnant and dump a kid off at an orphanage though” (at least 3 unique instances of that)
2) theres a long generational history of mental illnesses that make information recall unreliable like dementia or schizophrenia etc so even when you can track an ancient family member down living alone in the woods somewhere, you can’t take what they say at face value, esp if point 1 and 2 overlap so all they have to say about their family is negative crap anyway.
3) so many orphans of various wild ass circumstances, like, great great grandma supposed first came to canada on a boat when she was 5, all alone, in rags, not speaking a lick of english and no one ever knew what her mother tongue was since they raised her english immediately and she forgot and never remembered
what im saying I come from a long line of essentially crazy hermit bog witches so my cultural identity is basically societally canadian with a dash of “what are you, a cop? fuck off”

I def don’t have a british accent of any kind, my fams been living in canada for a long ass time going way back so while I don’t have the newfie “aboot” accent I do have the chill ontarian accent, which is like, i guess outsiders would consider mostly american with a controllable concious amount of letterkenny (which im fluent in anyway) when im just having fun with people lol
but i think my distant distant ancestors are some sort of mix of french/ (metis?? rumoured in fam gens ago but never confirmed)/ irish /welsh though

But, there ARE some character arcs that she brings up that are interesting to explore on their own. Jade having a child is an immensely interesting to explore, the reasons why she would want such a thing, the depths of lonliness and relationship struggles in her character and the lengths she would go to for a child are all super interesting things to explore in an arc for Jade
So, how do we do that without, yknow, all the other terrible stuff that came from it?
In my reinvigoration in all things homestuck and homestuck adjacent, I’ve been thinking about the one seemingly most controversial thing that came out of Homesquared before it got paused, and I think pretty much everyone agrees on:

Woohoo! I’ve actually now finished up re-writing all the stuff in the Time Aspect post in my google docs, 1 down, 11 more to go! (I haven’t posted it yet though, it just in my google docs still)
At this juncture though, I’m considering, should I maybe actually try to add Lord and Muse into each of these posts as well? I really want to, but I don’t know if the ideas I have about Lord and Muse will match up to the quality that I already have for the rest of the regular classes
I kinda wanna ask what might be better, giving Lord and Muse each their own separate posts for their aspect combos, or adding them onto the ends of the already existing aspect posts themselves?
For context: My Rough draft of a basic class description for both Lord and Muse:
Lords are at their cores controlling individuals. They measure the ultimate worth of their Aspect’s rules and inherent nature against their own strict personal standards, passing judgement using their own self as the ultimate standard of quality. Because of this, they consider their own desires and intentions paramount above all others, rejecting all external influences except those they have already approved, and believing that everything and everyone else ultimately pales in comparison or importance to their personal quest for self-fulfillment.
Muses are at their cores inspiring individuals. They accept that the ultimate judgement of their Aspect’s rules and inherent nature comes not from themselves, but from the collective consensus of everyone around them, and so greatly value that feedback. Because of this they understand innately that they have a responsibility to defend and preserve the existence of the choices and desires of everyone around them. Always conscious of how they must delicately balance between that preservation, and their ability to influence others for their own and everyone else’s sake as well.
Like, I think that’s pretty good, it’s just so hard to say for certain that these can be applied to all Lords and Muses, and not just Calliope and Caliborn, having only a sample size of 1 for both master classes always makes it hard to be certain since there’s only so much to compare it to
But I think these do an alright job of showcasing how ultimately Lords are on a quest of self betterment and for better or worse just don’t care what other people get up to or don’t as long as it doesn’t interfere with their own personal goals, yes they basically dismiss any external influence as affecting them or swaying them, meaning they can never be convinced of anything unless they want to, but they do so from a standpoint that in the end the only person who can truly decide your self worth is yourself, and no one else except yourself has any power over you in that regard
and Muses fundamentally understanding in opposition that you can’t just assign your own worth, can’t just decide that your more important or better than anyone else, because that isn’t for you to decide, and that your value ultimately comes from how other people see and judge you to be, and that isn’t to say their helpless in the face of others, but instead highlights how important their skills at influencing others truly is in that regard, and the moral questions that comes with using or not using that innate power in any given scenario
both are equally valid viewpoints, when in contexts that where they excel, and both have potential moral failings in contexts where what they do isn’t a good thing, so I think it’s a pretty good balance and makes sense for their scales of power and their active passive natures
They both have struggles to deal with as well, how does a Lord balance the idea that they are the judgement gold standard that everything should judged against, with the idea that they are on a constant quest of self betterment and improvement in comparison to those around them, if they manage to improve then that means they used to be worse before, and if they further chase perfection than they will always be imperfect in their current form, so how can they ever truly know that they’ve indeed reached perfection? An eternal line, stretching forever into the horizon, never ending
how does a Muse deal with knowing that if the way they perceive and judge themselves ultimately comes from the influence of others, and they have the power to influence others as they please, how can tell the different between a genuine reflection of worth expressed to them, versus a thinly veiled desire expressed through others? Who is the Creator, the Muse or the Artist? An infinite circle, forever going around, never ending

omg kate mitchels is the WORST. shes a vriska kinnie who unironically thinks vriska did nothing wrong and called tavros an abuser, and i believe at one point said men cant be abuse victims.

Tavros being Vriska’s abuser though… I still can’t wrap my head around how that was supposed to happen exactly, and I wonder if the people who think that even read the same comic that I did
Like yeah you can argue Vriska had an abuser absolutely… but it was her spidermom, Doc Scratch even is an acceptable answer, not Tavros.
I saw this person tweeting about the Hussie bullshit and jesus christ, I didn’t know a former WP staff member - the same one who called the HSD admins “pedophile harbourers” and who Hussie said that yes it was obviously fraudulent but it was OK because they pissed her off - was also saying that investigative journalists will one day be lined up and shot.

In case anyone needs a reminder that Canada is literally a fascist state, they are now banning some arrested land defenders from speaking out on social media after their release.
This isn’t an anomaly either - taxes go into things like lawyers for government programs designed to take Indigenous children away from their homes and the parents fighting these things are told to keep silent on social media about their experiences. I know Tamara Malcolm dealt a lot with this, very publicly. 90% of children in the system in Manitoba are Indigenous.
Canada was built on settler entitlement and genocide of Indigenous peoples in the interests of white capitalist exploitation.
